Hi everyone.  Y'all look like a great group of WW Core folks, I'm glad I found you!  I've been doing WW Core for 10 weeks now and am down 27 pounds.  No one else at the meetings I attend is doing core, so it's great to find this group!  I've been making up recipes/meals as I go along and am looking for some new ideas and a little "core support". I've got a few recipes that y'all might enjoy too.

Oh yay, welcome! I juuuust started Core like a few days ago, and don't completely have the hang of it yet.

I haven't seen this community be too active in the couple weeks I've been here, but I am here! So if you want to post stuff, you'll have at least one person reading. :)

I'll try to post some stuff too!

Nice to see another Core person! And CONGRATS on the loss! 27 pounds is amazing!!

Glad to see someone else is here right now. I was a little concerned about that when I looked at the posting dates, but I figured if I was talking to myself, it wouldn't be the first time anyway! I signed up for this web site just because of this WW Core journal.

Core is just GREAT for me. Lots of benefits that I don't get from counting points: "clean" eating (which for me equals feeling better/better overall mood), no bad food choices, much more stable blood sugar, don't have to worry about running out of points, although I do count them anyway...and with only core foods I'm almost always under what I'd eat on points only. And, if I'm really craving something, I've got those weekly flex points to rely on without feeling like I've "gone off" the program.

I don't know if I'm doing Core perfectly, but it's sure working for me. I stick 99% to core foods, and drink 60-80 oz of water a day (or sometimes some splenda sweettend drinks). I decided when I started, that if I was truely hungry, I'd eat; but had to cut out the stress eating I'd become so good at!

I've kind of gotten into a routine now, so it's easier than it was at first. To get started, I made a list of all the core foods that I thought I'd actually eat and use that for a basis for my grocery list. Then I had to figure out what to pack for lunch and snacks to take to work every day so that I wouldn't run out of food, especially if I have to work late.

If you need any suggestions, or have questions, I can try to answer them from my perspective anyway... I don't feel like I'm getting much info I can use for core at the weekly meetings because everyone else is talking strictly points, but the support there is wonderful anyway.

I'd love to see you start posting here with me too!!! So GO FOR IT!

i just joined! i have been doing core for 5 days now, although i have done WW in the past. so far i like it; i decided to try it because with flex, i would end up hoarding my points for dinner...then i would eat dinner and have a bunch of points left over and feel pressured to scarf down all my remaining points even if i wasn't hungry. my weigh-ins will be tuesdays. i'm no longer going to meetings, so i'm just doing this all at home. i spent over an hour reading through all the old posts here, so hopefully the traffic will pick up soon!
